    Persistent Non Covid Cough!?

I started with a cough 9 days ago and can’t shift it, the wife now has it and we’ve both felt washed out at times as well.

We’ve done multiple lateral flow tests and all have said we are negative.

Has anyone on here had a cough type virus in recent times, ours is like a hacking cough but with no snot or anything like that, just occasional coughing spasms lasting 30-60 seconds?

There’s something weird going on out there you know, it’s like we’re being used as guinea pigs by someone.

I’ve had a right rooster of a cough for nigh on 2 weeks, Mick. I caught it off my son. However, my cough has been very ‘productive’, especially since I started swigging at the Benylin Chesty Cough mix, like a ‘park bench veteran’. The cough changed characteristics from rooster to meaty within hours.

    It’s almost cleared up now

I gather there’s a lot of bronchitis type viruses doing the rounds locally at the moment EV so I reckon it’s one of these.

My 29 year old son and his partner both have full blown Covid but we’ve not been in contact in recent weeks and they have totally different symptoms to us.

It could be weather related Mick, high dry temperature and high pollen count.
We live in the sticks and there has hardly been a breeze for the last few days, much better today though.
If it's worrying you go on the NHS helpline or phone your GP.

    GP🤣🤣🤣🤣

You’re having a laugh Des, our local doctors have been in hiding since March 2020.

Absolutely spineless and pathetic bunch in our patch, a total disgrace.

I checked online at Companies House and found out main GP and her GP husband made over £700k between them last year yet neither have been spotted!

Instead they make the practice nurses face the patients which I think is criminal and cowardly.

I have coughed a lot more recently but I put it down to wearing a mask as the fibres seem to be getting down my throat.

If they had been in the army they would have been shot for desertion.
