    Partick Thistle v Queens

First game of the season this Saturday against a Thistle side still angry with the way they were relegated in 2020. A few supporters still have a chip on their shoulders and actually blame us but maybe they should be looking a little closer to home.

Both teams are looking to strengthen before the weekend so there should be a few interesting days ahead.

Our good friend Greg Aitken is the referee at Firhill.

I would be happy with a point on match day one.

Johnny, you suggest that a few supporters will have a chip on their shoulder? Can you honestly, hand on heart say that if the Covid Pandemic had not stopped the season prematurely that Queens would not have gone down? If the boot had been on the other foot we would have been screaming that it was unjust, and Iain McCall was 100% correct in claiming that injustice, - regardless of what some on this board might think of him.

However, - we have moved on, and the matter is a mere irrelevance in the big scheme of things.

Really looking forward to this game to gauge the ability of this exciting looking bunch of players and some possible new signings before the weekend. Things are very much looking up although by the lack of posts on this site it would appear that not all are too excited by recent developments.

Plenty to look forward to this weekend and I think considering we are still adding to the squad I would be happy bringing a point back to Dumfries. We have the makings of what could be a really dynamic side.

Maybe missing something obvious here but is the game at Firhill going to be streamed?
