    Ruben Rodrigues positive for Covid-19

Rodrigues has unfortunately tested positive for Covid-19, while Roberts will be rested after making a barnstorming return to action at Telford.

“Losing Ruben at this stage of pre-season is of course frustrating, but the most important thing is his health,” said Burchnall. “He’s feeling OK and hopefully it stays that way so he can come back firing at the end of his isolation late next week.

Bit annoying, but better than during the season. Assuming he’s fine and doesn’t have a bad case, he should still have the York and Solihull games to get up to speed for opening day.

Feel for him though, only just done one lot of isolation after coming back from Holland!

Let's hope he recovers OK and comes back fit as a butcher's. Am I right in thinking most pro footy players will have been jabinated?

These tests are getting beyond a joke, far too sensitive, but just the way the government/scientists want it, to try and save face. From Ian Burchnalls comment, it seems like he has no symptoms.

Maybe Rodders is Asymptomatic? - I would suggest the tests are becoming more accurate and not to be treated as a joke!

Well, I'm sure we all wish him a fast and symptom-free recovery...
And hope he can stay fit in the meantime - to pick up where he left off once he rejoins the squad

Surely it's better to find out you've got it, even if you have no symptoms. If positive a second test should be done anyway to confirm

You what? If testing means isolation and preventing others from getting it, that's brilliant. Just because RR might not be symptomatic, anyone he passed it on to might not be so lucky (says someone who has been in hospital after covid).
