The club now seem to think sturgeon will make it all go away on the 9th of August, I'm not so sure and I'm not so sure the club want the Derry open.
There was a very good post on TDB forum which highlighted how a football club went about building its support. One of the ideas was that ech stand had a slightly different identity. I thought it was very interesting and relevant to DFC. As you have said on many occasions since it happened the PATG arrangements and the restructuring of the access and seating of the SE has transformed the atmosphere in the SE and not in a good way. It has driven away the noisy youngsters and destroyed what was the noisiest and most passionate place for our supporters. The closeness to the opposition was another advantage in creating atmosphere and nothing will be done, I fear, to try to make the SE the powerful voice of our support.
I don't see much sign of marketing plans and effort being made to re engage with the support. It is terrific what is happening on the field and the playing side is obviously being well supported. I don't think much money needs to be spent to address the situation in the SE, it's more a change of attitude and attempts being made to recapture the people who used to go to watch their football there.

Last sentence for me b cram...."change of attitude"......I know I bang on about Mwell but they have (after a wee sticky start) embraced their ultras, well boys, whatever you want to call them.

Loved their banner spread over their whole section on Saturday.....born in Mwell, live in Mwell, die in Mwell....or something along those lines.

My perfect scenario would be Dee changing home ends and making the section nearest the shankly under 25s only........change the atmosphere of Dens overnight.

My main moans over the years (been a few) is DFC are so slow to change anything.

I put this down to one or two people.

I have just had a look at the club website and there is still no comment or apology from John Nelms to the ticketing fiasco last week.

I do not understand why John Nelms does not want a full South Enclosure as it is the first part of the ground that he sees when he takes his seat in the front row of the directors box.
