Ohh dear indeed ehh Alto lol. It wasn't good today but I will try and say at least they are a top Champship team and they will be up there again this season.
But when people say it was 3 and it could and should have been 6 or 7!!!, then you do start to get a bit worried.
Anyway we move on, away to Stoke next and that might be another whacking.

Palace stuffing Spuds was a bit of a shock. OK Spuds were without a couple of players but even so....
Thought Eduard took his chances well - it might be a flash in the pan but he looked a lot better than he did at Celtic and maybe with Zaha supplying him he'll make their forward line tick.

Typical Wanderers game so far....HT it's Ipswich 2 Notlob 3 FFS. My nerves are shredded.

Hey Wander, if only Bolton could have done that away at Ipswich in the 2000 Play off semi final 2nd leg lol. I would have fancied our chances a lot more had we met Bolton in the Wembley Final, but we had a very poor record against Ipswich in those days.
But what about that ehh, a 2-5 win there is ace even though they have started surprisingly poorly.

You're bringing up the Barry Knight game now - perhaps the only game in our history that is remembered for a biased referee.

For anyone interested, the first leg ended 2 - 2 and in the second leg Mr Knight booked 9 Bolton players, sent 2 off and awarded Ipswich 3 penalties - of which 1 was legit but our heads had gone by then.

With Knight running back up the pitch smiling after Ipswich finally took the lead from another outrageous pen award numerous death threats were made and Fat Sam basically said on telly he'd been bought. The footballing authorities didn't argue. Knight "retired" shortly afterwards.

As a result of us not getting promoted back to the top tier, we had to sell our starlet Eidur Gudjonssen (who was injured and couldn't play in that game) to Chelski for peanuts - but we went up the following season anyway and stayed there for years to come.

Knight apparently survived the death threats.

Err Id forgot that it really was that controversial, but I remember thinking at the time how lucky Ipswich were from the highlights.
And nothing as exciting happened in our Semi finals, as we hammered Birmingham and went to Wembley for the first ever time.
