i would question any player that wanted to sign for us on a permanent basis!

a loan deal to get game time is fine but if you are a footballer wanting to have a career where you can win things and compete, Newcastle is not the club to be at. We are a dead club at the moment, treading water and gambling with our PL status for the minimum possible outlay financially

    Aye, exactly this.

Going to be a very different experience for the players this season, too.

The atmosphere will be toxic as soon as we hit one of Bruce's regular slumps. Patience is going to be at an all-time low and, much as Bruce and fatso will be the maiin targets, the crowd's reaction to poor performances is going to make it a tough place to play.

If we'd had crowds last season, I suspect Willock wouldn't dream of coming back. As it is, the fact that we haven't bought a player with 10 days before the season begins (honestly, man, I can't believe I'm even typing that) will be something that makes potential loan players think twice before coming.

And you couldn't blame them one bit.

I think he'll be off in January. He's far too good to be hanging around a club like ours. I also think there'll be a falling out because he's not the sort of character to keep quiet.

Apperently Arsenal have offered him as part exchange for Maddison. Tough choice go and fight for trophies at Leicester, Or come here for our yearly relegation fight.

Leicester would be a big upgrade on Arsenal never mind us. He'd be mad not to want to go there (obviously it won't just come down to his choice but it won't do much for his state of mind struggling as we play 5-4-0 against the likes of Man City or 5-4-1 against the might of Brentford whilst Leicester are battling it out for the European slots playing fast, attack-minded football.

I'd love Willock back but he's far too good to be wating his time here.

And what a shit thing to have to type.

This solid source is saying we're buying him for £25 mill:

if we sign Willock it will be a double edged sword.
He will either pick up from where he left off and grab more goals which will keep Bruce in a job and the fans off his back or
he wont replicate the form he had last season, the mood will turn toxic and hugely hostile

This is the situation Ashley has caused, there is no middle ground
