People say it is a mugs game, and yes for some it is. However, as Tips says those who throw that accusation often are mugs themselves when it comes to how they spend their money.

For me everyone can spend what they have how they want to, as long as they don’t overspend beyond their means and they don’t get addicted so that it impacts on others in a negative way, and yes that includes spending too much on following sport as much as betting on it.

Enjoy what you like and thank goodness we are all different. Better go and have something that I am addicted to, which is another cup of tea and a piece of cake to go with it!

If like to meet you Yarm, you’re as boring as me🤣

Never smoked and stopped drinking at 17 because I didn’t like alcohol at all.

Spend very little on myself either.

Did a couple of silly gambles when I was about 33 and lost £330 on one bet and have never had a bet again because I actually scared myself.

Just had a cup of tea and a bit of cake as well🤣

Careful Mick I am sat down for another big mug of tea now, after my dinner but no cake this time. Have to say dont keep count of the number of cups of tea I have a day but to be fair my 90+ mother said it was far too many when she stayed last time pre Covid. I guess we all have our own little excesses?

Got really adventurous though and had some home made compote on top of my ice cream. That’s the way to live and counts towards your 5 a day as well.

Betting on anything isn’t at all to my liking but each to their own. I do think though, that all advertising for better companies should be banned, in a similar manner to the ban on tobacco advertising. Of course, that wouldn’t outlaw betting, just limit its promotion.
