    Aston Villa sign Danny Ings

Fair play to their owners, they're showing quite a bit of ambition in the transfer market

    He played well last season.

I was wondering before if fatboy would pass a PL ‘fit and proper’ owners test today? Of course he would as he’s crippling a club that has the potential to challenge the top 6. They must love him.

    Good point

Masters probably loves Ashley for what he's doing to NUFC

That's a very good signing for them.

Meanwhile our owner sanctions a new contract for a Chimpo-level striker our manager won't even play.

How the fuck does that work?

I also liked how there was no real fanfare, it was all done and dusted, signed off before anyone really knew.

As Villa fans we knew nothing, what a shock. Word is the deal to sell Grealish depended on us getting replacements in first. All this loyalty crap really is crap, as explained by our CEO, this deal was in the making 12 Months ago when he signed a new 5 year deal....clever by the club to get the money!
The prem elite allowing City to do what they like is ruining football No, has ruined football.

And the Premier League will never allow clubs like Villa, Newcastle and any other clubs that used to compete to have owners that could compete. At least the likes of Villa, Leeds, Wolves etc. are having a go the hard way. The thing is, the other 14 clubs could instigate change yet they all seem to be happy to let the league be run for the benefit of the other 6.
