    Club Badges.

I was intrigued why Wycombe have a swan with a chain round it’s neck on their badge.

While looking it up I found this website that has a history to all the club badges including ours

The green background on the shield, the silver mitre, and the gold stags are derived from the arms and insignia of Thomas of Rotherham, Archbishop of York. He founded Jesus College, Rotherham.

Just as I was saying in another thread.

Dissolution of the monasteries was late 1530s.

So only part of the academic elite for less than 60 years.
