    OK, this is a prediction competition, but who on earth could foresee six 2-2 draws this week? We also went heavy with the aways in group B but only one had the good grace to turn up. Consequently the scores were low with an average of only 3.9 - compare that with 9.3 last week.

    Er, this week’s top-scorer was Chalky with 7. I’ll just let that sink in. He scored well last week as well, and jumps another 2 places to 11th. Chalky, imagine where you could have been if you hadn’t missed a few weeks. Southblue and Altobelli both only got 2s but no harm done.

    Only other significant movements were Claw, up 2 and Coastlineblue down 2. It’s still tight at the top due to shoddy scoring up there so still all to play for.

    Looks like a packet of 10 will suffice for your back of a fag packet calculations next week Griff!

    First, I’ve done some housekeeping and take out those who have left this week and also those who declared themselves out a while back. Anyone returning can be reinstated very easily using the EOB figures, I keep all the records. I’ve left Crusha in; he’s missed a couple of weeks but I don’t recall him saying that he was pushing off. I’m holding on to £80 which is the money promised by myself and two others. I can’t remember who else pledged money but we’re still playing for a healthy sum. So, on we go.

    Average was 5.9 this week and only Coastlineblue excelled with a respectable 9. Well done and keep it up. Altobelli and Davee will be disappointed with their 4s but no harm done. No real movements this week apart from those arising from the cull.

    This goes on!

    1 Howoldboy (10)….…….6-92
    2 Griff (7)…………………..…5-88
    3 NZBlue (10)……………… 5-87
    4 Tricky (5)………..………...7-81
    5 Davee (6)…………………..4-76
    6 Mullen (7))………….………5-69
    7 Southblue (6)……………..7-69
    8 Altobelli (5)…………………4-69

    Here’s a few tenners for you. Tricky, Southblue and Coastlineblue all top-scored with 10s this week. Well done all. Average score was 7 and doing his best to keep the figure down was Davee who only managed 2. There were quite a few correct scores so that helped some.

    Mullen slipped 4 places to 10th and going in the other direction were Southblue and Nobby, both up 2. Significantly NZBlue has risen up into second place, and the top four have opened up a 12 point gap over the chasing pack. Miles to go yet though and anyone can still win it.

    1 Howoldboy (11)…..…….6-98
    2 NZBlue (11)……………….8-95
    3 Griff (7)…………………..…5-93
    4 Tricky (7)………..….…..10-91
    5 Southblue (8)…….……10-79
    6 Davee (6)…………………..2-78
    7 Nobby (7)…………………..8-76
    8= Coastlineblue (6)…..10-76
    8= Altobelli (6)………..……7-76
    10 Mullen (8)………..……….6-75
    11 Claw (5)…………….………6-68
    12 Cayambe (4)……..………6-65
    13 Crusha (4)…….….(dne2)-60

    Checked and correct.

    Excellent scoring Tricky, Southblue and Coastline Blue.

    So far this season most frequent score has been a 2-1 Home win (27 so far), followed by 1-0 Home win (22) and then 2-2 Draw (18).

    But don't let that influence your selections next week!

    Thanks Griff.

    Not much going on in the table this week with a spread of points between 9 and 4 and an average of 6.4. Coastlineblue’s down two places otherwise only minor changes to positions.

    Sitting on a major oak this week was Claw with 9 points, so well done to him. Struggling with a sapling was the aforementioned Coastlineblue who scraped a 4. Must try harder.

    Funny thing the Cup, it’s sometimes a killer week but not this time. Back to the league now - territory that we know.
