Well lads that’s it, another season done and dusted and the competition put to bed. The figures don’t lie and they’re telling us that Howoldboy is this season’s worthy champion. VERY well done mate, though it’s been coming for a few weeks (a 20+ point lead is generally a big clue). Congratulations are still due, so here’s a virtual round of applause and there’s a pint behind the bar for you at the Comeintomy Arms. Oh, and you have a PM so I can get £100 to you.*

The table is at the bottom of this post, just in case some of you have missed that for the last 40 weeks. I know you lot too well.

I won’t dwell on the week; nice to see Chalky back and Davee, Mullen and Cayambe got the best scores.

In the individual bragging-right battles Blackdogblue beat Chalky but was himself beaten by Cayambe. See, its not so much the dog in the fight, it’s about the fight in the dog.

I’ll be looking at your suggestions for next year’s competition and I’ll let you know more next week. Meanwhile, enjoy your summers and don’t be strangers, there’s a lot about to happen at Brunton Park if the jungle drums are correct and a team to build.
