    Quite right, and thanks. I actually awarded Claw the points, then miscounted. Apologies to Claw.

    Did we all have a good weekend? No? Oh.

    Another poor-scoring weekend, but well done to Southblue who top-scored with, er, 7. Altobelli did badly with 2, a sentence that should be spoken in a whisper. Unlucky mate. Average score was 4.8. This all results in, well, not a lot really. Only significant move in the table was Mullen up two places to 7th. It all counts though. Notably, only one correct score was registered this week, by Southblue, and that’s what made the difference.

    No one seems to be pulling away and nobody is dropping away at the bottom so still all to play for. I’ve dropped the EOB business off now; if anyone starts or returns it’s quite easy for me to add up the points for missed weeks anyway.

    More of this tarradiddle next week.

    1 Howoldboy (12)………..5-111
    2 NZBlue (11)…….………..5-106

    8 Nobby (7)……………………5-87
    9= Coastlineblue (6)…....4-84
    9= Altobelli (6)………….….2-84

    Another low-scoring week with some strange results fooling us all. No one foresaw out-of-form Crawley winning at Barrow, nor Salford’s away-win at Harrogate. As the Chinese say, “may you live in interesting times”. Anyway the average score was a paltry 4.5.

    Tricky and Claw were the migrants reaching a beach, top-scoring with 7s. Well done both. Sinking in mid-channel without a puncture repair kit was Mullen who only managed one. Swim, Mullen, swim. As a result Mullen’s the only significant mover this week, down 3 places to 10th.

    The gaps are now starting to open; Crusha’s adrift by 11 at the bottom and the top 4 are pulling away with an 11 point gap down to 5th. And there’s a 12 point blanket thrown over the eight in the middle. Time to stop faffing lads, there’s money at stake……..

    1 Howoldboy (13)………..5-116
    2 NZBlue (11)…….………..3-109
    3 Griff (8)…………………..…5-109
    4 Tricky (9)………..…………7-107
    5 Southblue (10)..………….3-96
    6 Davee (7)………….…………5-94
    7 Nobby (7)………….…………4-91
    8 Altobelli (7)……….…………6-90
    9 Coastlineblue (7).………..5-89
    10= Mullen (8)………………..1-88
    10= Claw (8)…………….…….7-88
    12 Cayambe (4)……..………5-84
    13 Crusha (4)…….…………..2-73

    Well, there’s the first postponement and it’s only November. Structural damage at Tranmere so no game. The predictions will be held over until the game is played and points awarded then. As always I’ll start a thread as a reminder and to record the entries.

    Three players failed to show - all in the bottom half which dents their chances. Howoldboy top-scored with 11, slowly drawing out his lead so well-played to him. Davee only got 3 and as he started the day in 6th, he finished it in, er, 6th. Claw was the biggest mover, up 3 places to 7th. Nobby, Altobelli and Coastlineblue all move down two spots. Average score was 7.1 in case you’re wondering.

    There’s a 15 point gap now between 12th and 13th. Coincidentally, that’s the same as between 4th and 5th. Who wants to be top dog? Who will settle for mid-table mediocrity? Is Crusha happy with the wooden spoon? Time to choose.

    1 Howoldboy (15)…………..11-127
    2 NZBlue (13)………………..10-119
    3 Tricky (11)…………………..10-117
    4 Griff (9)……………….…..…..6-115
    5 Southblue (10)……………..4-100
    6 Davee (7)…..……….…………3-97
    7 Claw (10)…………….…………8-96
    8 Mullen (9)…………….………..8-96
    9 Nobby (7)………..….…………4-95
    10 Altobelli (7)……….…(dne3)-93
    11 Coastlineblue (7)…(dne3)-92
    12 Cayambe (5)………..………7-91
    13 Crusha (4)……..……(dne3)-76

    Griff I deserve bonus points for helping you guys get the points.

    Carlisle v Walsall 1-2

    I don't know what it is about Walsall but they are rubbish for my predictions so should be a good omen for you Carlisle boys.

    Predicting wins for Carlisle’s opposition is usually a good way to accumulate predictocomp points. Thanks though, and I’ll consider giving you a bonus point for last season. Can’t say fairer than that squire.
