The same duo Levein wanted to be in charge of us, but we turned down. Will be interesting to see how they get on.

Almost 17 years to the day he took his first game as our manager, which was 5th Nov 2006 time flies

We were struggling then bottom after 12 games, won 6 of the next 10 plus a draw at Celtic Park

He turned us around as a club the result of which saw us top 6 and better for the next 8 years

Forever fond of him and that era, wish him well

I would have only taken Levein in on a mentoring role/ director of football. He knows the game inside out but I think his best years may be past him. I do however think that his arrival will give St Johnstone the "new manager bounce" which will push them up the league.
