I'll be there Outwood, just need BT to confirm and we're good to go, proper football, no VAR, good pies and good ale, what's not to like ?

Old Bob has been in hospital for five weeks now with a variety of health issues. The Doctor says they want him in a Respite Unit and want to discharge him ASAP.

I will definitely pick Mr Outwood up and come over on Saturday, but if it clashes with the father-in-law's discharge it's a no-no.

Their is a direct train from Manchester Victoria to Clitheroe Outwood if you want to make firm plans without worrying about my availability.

Keep up the good work sinkov and I am sure that you will convert some of these lads!

Ashington have a home game tomorrow night and on offer will be Chicken Masala with rice or chips: Beef Chilli Con Carne witih rice or chips: Beef Chilli Enchalada: Sausage Meatball in a Smoky Tomato Sauce with rice or chips and for those who do not partake of meat, Sweet Potato and Chickpea Curry and rice ------good selection, really generous portions and whatever you require costs 3.50 to eat in the clubhouse. Just to finish off you can add beer, wine, soft drink or hot drink for a further 1.50 ----thus, for a fiver you get great value for money. Entrance without ST for an OAP is 2 pounds and with 42 goals scored in total in 10 home matches ------what more could a football fan want?

No worries BT. I have been plotting a route if the need arises from the famous Radcliffe tram station (well it’s been on the local news lately!) to Manchester Victoria and thence to Clitheroe. I will be wearing my Clitheroe hat. Meet at the bar sinkov?

Another lovely evening spent at Woodhorn Lane. Sausage meat ball in spicy tomato sauce with rice and chips washed down with a lovely red wine and all followed with a 4-2 win for Ashington with 4 goals which would have pleased any football officianado.
A very warm evening too, I didn't even need a jacket. Now at home and just topping up with my medicinal red ----life is great!
