    ot - Yorkshire cricket

Just when it looks like we're having a good season and could actually win some trophies again, we get hammered today away at Ess*ex in the One-day cup Qtr Final.

Joe Root has really improved again with the bat for England recently, and once again we're missing our better players like him when it really matters, because they are away on Intl duty!.

Test and county cricket is dead , it won't survive for too much longer .

The Blast and The Hundred along with the 50 over game is where it's at .

Things change and it is what it is .

We've got the T20 Qtr Final coming up on Aug 24th, against Suss*ex, and Im sure we'll find a way to fall apart in that one as well.

    T20-V*ITALITY BLAST QUARTER FINAL

    YORKSHIRE 177 - 7
    SUSS*EX 178 - 5 (with 2 balls left!)

It was a close finish, but its yet another disappointing Qtr final loss for us.

Im amazed at the news that is now coming from our county HQ, regarding these racist claims by a former player Azeem Rafiq.
What's worrying is it sounds like hes always been telling the truth, and those people at Yorkshire CCC who were maybe saying certain things, saw it as just banter apparently!!.

Now a few politicians are demanding that action be taken, and various sponsors like Yorkshire tea and Tetley bitter have pulled out of their deals with the county.
We've certainly not heard the last of this controversial subject!.

Very disappointing.i hadn't been aware that these issues were being investigated until yesterday's report. I see that Ballance has made a statement and it seems he's good mates with Rafiq; which seems odd. But it sounds like, from Ballance's statement /report that other players may also be involved. It then makes you wonder if that's why Adil Rashid was unsettled as well.

Some name's coming out this week , YCCC are a shambles , deep rooted racism by the sound of it ? Should be relegated and Test Match status removed from the Ground , btw Azeem Rafiq when playing at Shaw Lane for Barnsley, appeared to have an attitude problem with his teamates , many disliked him for that,

    I said the following to my brother, living in his villa in Portugal a couple of days ago;

Looks like their failures, denials, lack of transparency, action and acceptance to face the full report of the findings has finally caught up with them. Worse to come possibly relegated to Division 2 Championship and lose International Test rights for say 2 years. Heads to roll for sure would not be surprised if it is ........ (few people I named)

Also Rafiq probably milking it but......

Gary Balance made a statement and can see 2 sides to it.

Saying that Yorkshire suits saying little has not helped their case at all.

Holding Test matches withdrawn, along with sponsors cancelling contracts.

The White Rose Flag of Yorkshire sadly flying at half mast.

More to follow watch this space.
