    V Barrow

Should we field a mix of first team and 2nd string or just 2nd string. Some players need game time to get fitter.
    Steer
    Guilbert
    Hause
    Tuanzebe
    Targett
    Nakamba
    Hourihane
    Chucky
    Wesley
    Bodice
    Buendia

Tough one mate - we don't want any more key players injured and Barrow will be right up for it so expect to see strong tackles flying in + a potential banana skin. Give the under-cooked first teamers 60 mins I reckon.

Your team looks about right to me TD.

Barrow? ... in all my years following Villa I don't ever remember a fixture against Barrow .... it will be a massive game for them and they would love to get one over a premiership team ... so like you both said a banana skin... so a a side with most having first team experience is needed.
Be good if Wesley could get on the scoresheet and be nice for Connor to score one of his worldies ....

    Barrow? I ask ya 😁😁

The other way you can look at it, is Smith sends out a full strength team, been as we have had no preseason and get people fit, 5 subs allowed I think with no ET. Knock in 6 goals but allow Barrow a goal at the end as a good will gesture!

Our kids are amazing... all those years of crapping about with the bomb squad, all our kids look ready to step up.

Yes the kids did well, very well. The Ramseys brothers, The Chuckle brothers, Archer not forgetting Barry. Theres at least one New Grealish in there. The passing was a lesson to our first team and for 95 minutes....keep it up guys, your time will come.
Ps Big up to Guilbert, attitude and commitment was spot on, great back up to Cash, I just hope Deano does not loan him out. Cash picked up a few injuries last term and may miss several weeks this term having a hair transplant 🙄
