Swansea v Plymouth - Carabao Cup 2nd Round

It’s the second round of the EFL-Carabao Cup on Tuesday night, where Plymouth are the visitors to the Swansea.com Stadium. They looked a useful outfit in our pre-season friendly win against them, so expect a tough game. They beat Championship newcomers Peterborough away in the Cup first round 4-0.
Bennett and Naughton are expected to be fit again to boost our defence, but Cabango and Downes are still out.
After the euphoria of last Friday night’s away win at Bristol we need to continue our improved form, but expect changes to rest some of the players.

    Swans 4 - Plymouth 1
A late show with a Whittaker hat-trick saw the Swans safely through to the next round after they dominated possession but found Plymouth hard to break down as they were solid defensively.

I thought Plymouth were a very good side, strong in defence and quick on the counter attack.
They will do well in League One this season.
They tired at the end though after chasing possession, which accounted for the late goals.
    Swans possession 68%
    Plymouth possession 34%
In fact head coach Russell Martin commented on it after the match:
“That's the beauty of having the ball and dominating the ball. The opposition get very tired towards the end, and it opened up."

Good attendance last of 17,491, unusually high for us in the early rounds of the Cup.
I suppose it’s because fans have been starved of live football for so long, attendances are up in all games as fans are welcomed back.
