    Loads of Money : When Money Doesn't Buy Success in Football

    * Loads of Money *
    In the title, money does not buy success in football, one club Salford City has proved it.
    Owners of the club - Gary & Phil Neville, David Beckham, Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt, Ryan Giggs,
    own 50% with the other 50% being owned by business man Peter Lim.
    The ownership of Salford City goes under the parent company, Project 92 Limited [ 92 from the
    formers players of Manchester United, called the class of 92 ].
    The club having numerous managers, Graham Alexandra, Paul Scholes, Richie Wellens & current
    manager Gary Bowyer. [ But reported Salford City, looking at former Lincoln City manager
    Michael Appleton to become manager ].
    Revealed last month the clubs parent company, lost more than £4.7m last year, working out at
    £91,000 a week.
    Gary Neville said, there was no financial pressure to get promoted, but there is sporting disappointment,
    City's wage bill increased by 10% from the previous year, which shows for every £100 income, the
    club are spending £143 on salaries.
    There has been criticism of the clubs spending policy, which Gary Neville defended, after a third season
    in league one.
    To me Gary Neville's statement that there is no financial pressure to get promoted, I think is wrong,
    after fans have committed their hard earned cash, to support their club, so they want success in
    getting promotion.
