    Happy Timmer Market Day

Well, what would have been Timmer Market day anyway.

I don’t suppose balloons smoking fags would be very popular these days.

Not much stuff made of wood these days either .

Used to be busy back in the 60s and 70s but during the 80s it just died a death .

Trees are still keeping the tradition alive, but the death of Donald Sinden was a blow to the wood industry. Ham took a dunt in the meat market too at the same time. It would have been like a barbecue if he’d been cremated.

I quite liked Donald Sindon. Was in some half decent programmes.

He peaked in The Cruel Sea, where he didn't have to act, as Jack Hawkins took care of all the tricky stuff..."It's the war...this bloody war".

Was Never The Twain, a "sit-com" about feuding antique dealers, where Sindo's rival was one-trick (pit) pony Windsor Davies, the most middle class and mediocre TV 'comedy' ever?

Did he no play Elaine Stritch's butler in an equally execrable sitcom of the same era?
