A badly needed win against Crewe goes some way towards making amends for the poor start to the season so far. And it was a good well deserved win by all accounts against the Railwaymen, the league's grafters.

A change of formation to 4-4-2 seemed to help as did replacing George Dobson who made way for Conor Washington. Plaudits to the two goal scorers, Diallang Jaiyesimi and Jayden Stockley, as well as Gunter, Elerewe only 17 and GK MacGillivray making the right saves to keep a clean sheet. Former Crewe player Charlie Kirk and Luton Town loanee Elliot Lee both made promising debuts.

Charlton goals: Jaiyesimi 36, Stockley 41
