    Sell? We only just got him on a proper contract in this summer, anyone considering paying money for him would have taken him for free then or January or last summer.

    I never begrudged SOD his caps even before he came to us, he clearly took immense pride in playing for Scotland and he fully deserved them as there was no one better. But there's no way he's what we should be aspiring to have in the national team. We'll need to wait and see whether Paterson kicks on to replace him immediately but much like you can point at the centre backs and say we're going nowhere till that's sorted, an international team with players of SOD's level in it is going nowhere fast.

    Agreed - don't begrudge SOD what he's achieved the past few years, and his contribution at FP has been brilliant. That said, on the International front young Patterson looks a different animal; he should be put in as number 1 right FB and left to flourish in the role ... IMO ! And, if we have to let SOD leave cos of his 'release clause' good luck to him.
