    RIP the Cumbrians.net

I know, I know, they’ll be back claiming it was all about massive demand and denying that their platform is built on blancmange. But from now on we have to accept that this is always going to happen and every time that they come back it’s as a zombie board, just waiting for the bullet in the brain. One day they won’t come back….

…which will be a shame. This Club needs two boards for continuity such as at times likes this. I’ve regarded it as the ‘heir and a spare’ principle so I’m not going anywhere and neither is this board. OK?

Stick with it, get the Friday bewers back and get some lively chatter going on matches, pre during and pot match. Try and limit those who like to comment on everything but football by sending their posts to a n alternate sub forum (if there is one) or if not a single thread that mist can ignore

What's causing the problem, is it the forum software or the server resources? If it's the forum software then they should stop using EasyDiscuss and switch to something else. If the problem is the server not having enough resources, then can't they upgrade it? I think they said that one of the benefits of their new AWS provider was that they could scale the server resources up or down according to demand.

You can get on the other board if you take the knee before logging on.

Maybe they can’t afford it. What’s the likely cost of an upgrade?

For about £3 more a month they can get double their current resources if they switched provider to OVH.

I think they are also paying $79 a year for EasyDiscuss "support". Shouldn't bother paying that if you ask me, the support seems to be have been non existent.

You had to go and ask. You lot down south need a few bewers in your life. And if you ask nicely, Uncle Kessler will take you aside and give you a few lessons about his software, or summat.
