Teams We Have Played Performances 2021-22

Looking at the 5 teams we have played in division1 in August 2021

Millers lying in 8th place with 9 points from a possible 15

Millers 2-0 Plymouth ---- Plymouth in 12th with 8 points
Wigan 1-0 Millers --------- Wigan in 4th with 10 points
Morecambe 0-1 Millers --- Morcambe in 14th with 7 points
    Millers 0-2 Wednesday's -- Sheffield Wednesday in 2nd with 10 points
Millers 2-0 Doncaster ----- Doncaster Rovers bottom with 1 point

Plymouth Argyle turned it round from the Millers NYS game,
    Won 2 - Drawn 2 - Lost 1 against the Millers

For the Millers, dropping the 6 points against Wigan & Wednesday was
against the grain on what points we should have had.
Both clubs brought in players for this season

Morcambe - Team promoted last term, may struggle to keep division 1 status

Doncaster Rovers - No bite against the millers, could be injuries to players,
but failing to get another striker in the during the transfer window, could
prove a struggle for the club.

Overall then it’s suggesting that we will finish mid table

Without looking in to previous years result, i'd guess that we always struggle against the lower teams especially at home. It seems to be happening this season again so far. Think we'd have to go back to 80/81 when Millmoor was a fortress.....that's a long time....

It is. Isn't that around the same time the Alamo fell (and I don't mean in John Wayne's work of fiction )

Which might suggest that from now on more teams will adopt the Wycombe strategy against us.

Undoubtedly but Wycombe actually have good defenders so they can be a right pain. Most teams we would create against even if they tried to defend. It's more about us being clinical than what others do because we create chances. Much more clinical as of late.
