Hungary v England - Southgate should drop Raheem Sterling

Not because of the way he played, but for the disgraceful the way he let his manager, team mates and England fans down by deciding to take a booking in order to display a personal message under his shirt. He has a big enough profile to promote the message away from a football pitch, so the decision to put himself at risk of leaving his country one mistimed tackle away from playing with ten men was incredibly selfish. This sort of action needs stamping on quickly Mr Southgate.

Agreed. However, keeping the ball in the first half whilst they closed us down at every opportunity gave us the foundation later in the game when they clearly tired.
Very happy with the performance and result.

Agree with that. First half disappointing, second half we tore them apart.

    You would sincerely hope so.

Excellent result, did not expect that such a comfortable comprehensive victory. Looks like we have basically already booked our place for knockout disappointment at the next World Cup.

So presumably you (and laddo) think that players should be allowed to risk a red card if they want to send out a personal message?

    Right or wrong?
