Derby county are repotedly in talks with the football league, over a
' agreed sanction ', relating to financial breaches.
According to reports, the EFL is pushing for a nine point deduction,
with another three points suspended.
But Derby County, under a transfer embargo, have insisted their accounting
policy is " Fair ", & both sides are determined to find a quick resolution.
Derby County must now choose whether to agree, to a points deduction, or
fight it in what is a long running battle, with the EFL, that has lasted more
than a year.
In early 2020, Derby County originally cleared of breaching spending rules,
but the EFL challenged the verdict, with Derby County getting fined
£100,000 in the summer.
This summer the EFL challenged the clubs accounting policies, which resulted
in a £100,000 fine, as part of a sanction, with Derby County told to resubmit
three years of accounts.
Summary - Again the big club is looked after, nine point deduction is a slap
on the wrist, about time the EFL got a pair of " Bo**ocks ", & punished
the so called big clubs.
Derby County must be thinking snatch the EFL's verdict.
