We are not Brazil. We are not Man city, or even close. Val is good enough for me until we get a billionaire owner who forks out the kind of money these other clubs do that play great football. (Not all the time by the way even with the money) We can't be electrifying week in week out at the monetary level we are forced to work with. Most teams in the Championship envy the squad we have. Its all relative.

So far, I like Val's passion and energy. I think you have to give him credit for the subs yesterday as they came on and influenced the game. I would have absolutely have taken this start had you offered it at the start of the season. But yesterday's game was a really poor watch. This style of football is good when on the front foot. We also bully teams on long throws and set pieces, but you can't do that with teams like Millwall because that is their strength.

I'd like to see some calmness, and quality on the ball especially in the middle of the park. I'm not blaming our midfielders either by the way, but most of the game is bypassing them because we're so direct. Its kick and rush type of football, when its effective then great. But when it isn't like the last couple of games it is a hard watch. Let's see how the next few games pan out.

Good points although Val is by far a better manager than we have had for years as some have been a complete joke including Darren Moore. You mention midfield but Livermore still not good enough and whoever spent 32 million on Grant and Grady needs shooting. Can you imagine if we had Okay this season?

Val has been given no tools to work with and certainly no money. Kipre FFS!!! I didn't like Kanu but would question if anyone is better this season but again that came down to money!

Don't blame Val if it goes pear shaped but blame the absolute shambles of a Board/Owner and the useless departed Dowling! Even our Academy is in pieces................

So on this note - I am amazed at the work Val has done and his passion! Lets face it - Fat Sam only has one passion and that's money!!!

I still maintain paying the 5 million wanted to bring Yokuslu in would have pretty well guaranteed the league and he would have fitted perfectly into the system.

That’s what a group of us said at the weekend Dave and he would have been superb in this league! Livermore was not good enough before we were promoted - certainly not good enough in the Premier and goes missing too much even now!

For me I am happy with Val especially with some poor players!! Grant and Grady 32 million - just average for the championship at best! I also think the standard of the championship is the worst it’s ever been!

That said - more fun - no VAR - good manager after some absolute useless ones - high press so more exciting for me! That said if we go up we are going up with a MUCH worse squad than last year and still we won’t spend!

You're not wrong about squad quality. It's got harder and harder to stay in the Premier League these days as most stable clubs have their acts together, regularly exceeding 40 points. Norwich absolutely walked the championship last season, but them and Watford are shoe-in's for relegation.

Exactly Matt and still think Brentford will come back down with them too. Burnley, Brighton and Newcastle although poor are still ahead in quality! Leeds invested and have a great manager which helped them.

Thing is you would not be happy if we had a 20 point league! Should Val put one of the many easy chances we had in the net or is it a certain c unt in China who invests peanuts!!

For God sake - we did not even want to pay HRK’S wages!!!!

But that c unt in China as you call him and his cronies on the board were the ones who employed your beloved val 🤷*♂️

Wasn’t it downing who said he didn’t want to employ him as his style of play is agricultural ?

So you are blaming Val then? Livermore has been s hit for two years! Grant is lazy and proved nothing! We have not had a decent striker since Gayle left? Is that all Val’s fault?

So Barnsley almost got promoted so who would you have appointed on that money?

We got rid of HRK ( not that I was a fan ) because we couldn’t afford his wages!! How can there be a plan B when we lack quality?

Why didn’t we score from at least eight crosses on the ground and in the air? Should Val have run on the pitch to tap/head them in?
