You can’t predict anything mid September. Same as Barnsley other clubs will have new players, injuries and suspensions and the league will look a lot different by December.
Let’s wait until we have the likes of Andersen, Morris, Benson and the new lads available before we start consigning them to a relegation dog fight.

    West Brom 0 - Derby 0
Who would have predicted that result !?!?!
Yes - there’s a lot of sorting out to do at Barnsley.
But currently the Championship results are all over the place.
Nothing set in stone as yet - far from it.

Rooney hasn’t sussed how to fasten his own shoe laces.

This quote from one of their fans interested me, doesn't it all sound very familiar to what we started saying..

" I agree with both the above posts but I believe that we played too much 'hoofball' last night, especially in the first half. When we did play it on the ground we looked far more dangerous and with a decent striker would have scored a couple at least. Diangana is far more effective on the wide left as it was his crosses that should have been converted. I'm not against a high press but we mustn't abandon the passing game and just rely on long throws and set pieces to score goals. "

Is Val slowly being found out already or are some fans starting to tire of that style of his ?.

And I see Chris Hughton's luck has run out at Notts Florist, he didn't have much to work with but I thought he'd do better there.
And look at the form of the three promoted teams, Hull and Peterbrough and Blackpool are all finding it hard. But that was a very good win for Blacky against the new leaders Fulham last week.
