Mind games by McJake imo. The fat lad is also in the papers saying he'll be watching from the stands giving advice to the jakeball on the touchline.

I think you’re giving the jakey a bit too much credit with “mind games”. The guy is thick as mince. I hope fat boy does play. He’ll be trying to kick everything in front of him. I would imagine even fun fans wouldn’t want him playing if half “fit” as he’s slow as ferk even at full fitness. Free kicks and corners are about his limit. (Nae doubt he’ll score one now).

McPake is an idiot. He is in the papers today basically saying he is glad his back up keeper is **** so he doesn't have to make a decision over who to play

I don't want to stand up for the boy but that's hardly what he's saying. 😂😂😂

Anyway - Siegrist or Carson? What's everyone's thoughts if Benji is fit?

Hard ane, we've no seen that much of Carson but he's been decent

Both good **** stoppers, Benji probably edges it based on last season with the amount of games he kept us in and points he earned us

Definitely a tricky one. Wouldn't complain either way I don't think. Carson oozes confidence, is good with the ball at his feet and is a decent shot stopper as you say. We all know how good Benji is.

As far as I’m concerned - and this goes for any position in the team as well - if someone gets injured and their replacement comes in and does very well, then when the injured player gets fit then they unfortunately have to bide their time as the replacement will have earned the starting position IMO. Tough I appreciate but moving forward in general terms guys on the bench or on the fringes need incentivised to know that opportunities are there if they grab them when given. If Siegrist is immediately parachuted back in I’m not sure that sends a great message in all honesty.

He says he is glad he doesn't have to make a choice between two good keepers

As his first choice isn't injured, therefore no decision to be made.
