Chucking it down all day. Covers on presumably and depends on whether or not there is a deluge at KO time. Forecast is for it to ease off. Really hope it goes ahead, we don't want another season playing catch up and saying "If we win our game in hand...."

Where are you? Been around Beeston and Stapleford today and it's rained on and off for a few hours, but nowhere near enough to flood the pitch.

I imagine the pitch would be able to soak up a good amount of water at this time of year. Hopefully a wet top will help our passing game.

A load of crap that was, Ardley (remember him?) confidently assuring us all would be well - ha!

... there is word that there are drainage problems; so not entirely certain that the game will go ahead. Does anyone know if the covers have actually been deployed today?

Don't hold out much hope of getting many games played in the snow & rain of winter if the drainage problems are bad enough to see tonight called off after a long dry spell. COYP

This^^ OK, the pitch will have been watered, but you would imagine it would be able to soak up a shed load of water given the dry spell we've had?
