Well, the good news is that Sean has signed a new contract for another 4 years at the Turf so that should give plenty of fans something to moan about.

I’m going to withhold judgement Sub , I like the guy and he deserves it tbh as like you say he’s only done us good , I’m just not convinced our style of play will keep us up and also I’m a little worried the yanks will lose interest if we’re not in this league - then we could be in serious trouble.

I can only assume Dyche has been promised some money to spend, in which case this is really good news. He wouldn't have committed to another four years on no money would he ? Surely not, there must be some money coming down the line in January, just got to be, or am I being naive ?

I so hope you are right, sincov. Pace et al are smooth talking but SD is anything but naive. However, I do think that January will be too little, too late. I hope I am wrong, but apart from playing Norwich, I don’t see where the points will come from. The Turf is no longer a “fortress” and away - well what can one say.

Have no fear, army. If ALK pull out, we will have Garlick back in charge. Now that is something to look forward to, n’est - ce pas?

I dunno, name me a Prem team that he would suite? Dyches style puts him in a box.. I could only see him going to a Championship club that promise huge resources to big.

Agree with that FtD, he's of no interest to the majority of PL clubs, maybe clubs like Norwich or Watford might be interested, thinking he's one of the few managers who could keep them up against the odds, but at the top end of the PL, he's just not on their radar.

He is undoubtedly put in a box, but IMO that's unfair, his 'style' is governed by the finances available to him and the players this brings to the club, exclusively mediocre at best by PL standards. If Dyche was put in charge of say City or United, they would not be playing Dycheball, his last Championship team was a free scoring, attacking machine, footballing the opposition off the park, but that season he had a squad of players as good as any in the league. Now he has arguably the weakest squad in the division and he has to adapt his 'style' accordingly, but to suggest this is the only way his teams can play is just wrong, think back to Ingsy, Vokesy, David Jones, Scotty and Andre Gray, his teams could play like that again given the players, but he doesn't have the players any more, which is not his fault.

Sadly, sinkov, you won't win because, with the present agenda from certain quarters complaining about our physical approach and that being backed up by the media, a lot of our own fans are fuelling the argument because they are feeding the agenda by complaining about Sean and the way the team plays ---just more and more ammunition for those with the agenda ----Oh look, even their own fans don't like the way that they play ---we must stop them in their tracks etc., etc. ad nauseam.
