He’s talking his usual rubbish. Taking credit for things at Nice which were already in place before they ruined the club. Bragging about sponsorship into clubs which they’ve failed to do at Barnsley.

Achieved nothing here except one freaky season, apart from that nothings changed here but he pretends he’s transformed things with a new approach.

    Delusional

    Good that.
    Thanks for posting.
Clearly the ground issue needs sorting ASAP - as more revenue generated from the ground will be seen on the field with better players.

    Nothings changed ???
There has been a massive change since the Patrick era.
Have we forgotten that every season a nearly new team had to be built with loan players and journey men.
Not many clubs will have seen more players than what we have seen at Barnsley.
Can you imagine the club signing a player like Mido right now ?

Gally on the BBS has posted Andy Holt's response, which is interesting. Andy Holt is as straight as an arrow, and a salt of the earth bloke.
I am sorry don't know how to post the link. But it is worth reading Holt's comments

I can see the logic behind the PMG model. It's very businesslike and offers clubs like us a bit of hope and a way forward, where as under the previous regime we were going absolutely fecking nowhere with an owner that was pretty clueless in running a sustainable football club. Yes, the PMG has its faults but I think the positives outweigh the negatives. They are clued up financially.

Let's be honest, Patrick Cryne pumped a few million of his own money into this club because he was out of his depth when it came to running a championship club within its means. His own mistakes were the reason for us being in debt and also being in league 1 for 2 spells. Patchwork quilt type of job year after year was always gonna catch up with us and it did. Brian Howard, Conor Hourihane and Sam Winnall wouldn't have left this club for peanuts under this regime.

Sorry if that offends but folk need to start facing facts. The PMG are astute business people who stringently run this club and keep us at championship level with their model with an eye on the future. I couldn't give two shiny shytes if they are from Barnsley or not, have any affiliation with the place or speak our language. Time folk started being open minded.

The high quantity of loans and journeymen players was stopped as a strategy in the Cryne era, signing young players below 26yrs was already in place when the consortium arrived.
