Thing about Stoke match which I think is important

I didn’t see the match cos I’m still away.
But looking on FlashScore it gave the line up’s - and then underneath that it gave the players that were unavailable to play.

    Stoke:
    None

    Barnsley:
    Mads
    Kichen
    Morris
    Obbi
    J.Williams
    There was no mention of
    B.Williams
    Benson
Vita (who has only just managed to get to the club).

All of these players if available would be pushing for a 1st team start.

There is an argument to say - because of that list Brittain, Appo, Sibbick had to play out of position - and Gomes is still trying to find his feet in the Championship.

In other words - we played what looked like a full strength Stoke side - while Barnsley are not yet up to half strength.
And we still got a draw at their ground.

PS - sounds like Woodrow had a good game - which is good to hear.

    Collins , Sibbick , Helik , Styles , Brittain , Woodrow , Palmer Freiser started .

Victor came on who was involved last season .

Halme and Moon had limited time but were on the bench .

    That's not half a team .

If would have been a totally different game - once these players start clicking into gear.

    …………… Collins
    …… Sibbick - Helik - Mads
    Brittain - Palmer - Benson - Styles
    …… Frieser - Obbi - Morris

    Subs
    Walton
    J Williams
    Kitchen
    Gomes
    Vita
    Feya
    Oduor

This is what you get at Barnsley Football Club,The Good The Bad and The Ugly.I started going to Oakwell over 75 years ago and things have hardly altered, sometimes it’s good and sometimes it’s bad but you keep following them because you are a true Tyke.We are never going to be on a level with the teams like the Manchester’s or Liverpool because the owners will sell off any players they can make money on.I would also think they may take the club to a certain level and sell it for a large profit and walk away. This is Barnsley.F.C. It has always been like that and always will be,but like myself you will still follow the reds. Now think positive because there are clubs a lot worse than Barnsley, think how the Nottingham Forest fans and Derby County fans are feeling now and see if that puts a smile on your faces.

I never see us as a Man U or Liverpool or even a Leeds or Sheffield Wednesday.
But I do see us as a more exciting and better run club than Bolton, Burnley and Blackburn - all of whom have spent more time in the Premier than us.
