Nantwich Chronicle living in the past

Well, I always have a quick look at the back pages of the local rag. Imagine my surprise when looking at the picture of Mika Mandron being congratulated on his goal in the 1-1 draw with Shrewsbury by none other than Owen Dale, Tommy Lowry and Ryan Wintle. I must say it was good of them to turn up on the day

Problem with the Chronicle and similar regional newspapers is that they have been taken over by larger and more centralised 'agencies' and so have little real contact with their communities. This is because they have closed a lot of local offices and have single 'journalists' covering a very large area. Hence why Peter Morse is able to spread himself so much lately. So, in this instance, whoever the picture editor is just chose a picture from a 'library' and possibly didn't have any knowledge of the context.
