It seems to be in vogue, so I’ll go for another 3-2 win for us (Wootton, Mitchell, Roberts).

Would be wonderful if this is the game where we finally click into gear at home and totally destroy the opposition, but we’ll see. One thing that’s noticeable is how many more players we’re getting into the opposition box when we go forward (almost too many in there when you see that Palmer miss on Tuesday night), but that is clearly leaving us more open at the back if we lose the ball. Key thing now is to convert more of our chances.

Attendance: 5,795, including 268 from fair Maidenhead.

I've just crashed some numbers and essentially Notts are expected to score 1.57 more goals than Maidenhead. It is also expected that maidenhead will concede a minimum of 2 goals and Notts score a minimum of 2.33 goals in this game. Based on this it is fair to assume that Notts would be a safe bet to win by 1 or 2 goals.

3-2 to Notts is again a very likely scenario but I think after Tuesday's performance we will see some improvement.

    With this in mind . . .

    Notts 3 - 1 Maidenhead
    Wootton 1 Ruben 2 (1 pen)

He evidently hasn't quite yet shaken off the Arsley mentality that a draw is as valuable and the same as an actual win.
