And, as if we need reminding, Scum paid £19m for Ronaldo, we paid £26m for Rodrigo, who did the better business?

Forgot nearly all the teams are foreign-owned. Should start a threadSpot all UK clubs.

Benrama, Trossach, Lookman, etc etc, I'm no DoF but ffs I could do better than the numpty that occupies that opinion at LUFC (and to MT, if the club cares to take me up I am happy to be paid ONLY on results on the field, is Orta prepared to put his ability the line?)

And what revenue is he generating for Scum (apparel, memorabilia, sponsorship of all sorts to the club, not the player), every day, not every week?

19 million quid and he will be on 50 million over 2 seasons plus a percentage on his CR7 range.

That is the reality and the reality is we can not compete with any of the top 6 at this moment in time.

And what is our existence in the PL worth over 2 seasons? If we can't compete (and I don't suggest we can), then just why are we so desperate to get to, and stay, in the PL, given all we (club and supporters), have to sacrifice to do so?

Thing is, put Ronaldo's psyche alongside Bielsas and OMG you have a true force of nature, two individuals with a phenomenal thirst for excellence and perfection in executing what the beautiful game requires, scoring goals. Skolskaer won't offer that, nor will the Glazers, we could have?

When your coming from so far behind good business (not saying our recruitment is a success) is to stay afloat for a while while you build on your success.
Leicester was nothing till that Businessman bought them over. Rad does not have the money other owners have but throwing away money the way we have eg Costa JK Rod does not help in fact pushes us back.
Rad has the right idea but the wrong people helping him. Throw in a stubborn manager that thinks his god doesn't help either.
All in all the club is going the right way and hopefully, the rest will be adjusted to make us the proud club we once supported. CAme out wrong meant we support lol

Agreed on all the above, but just how much did the Glazers have when they acquired Scum? F00k all.

Their success have been built of leveraging the asset, something our owners seem reluctant to do (maybe past experience causes them to be cautious?) Thing is the insularity of decisions made before the age of the Internet aren't possible anymore, and that visibility should make those make such decisions more confident of "stepping out" than the who came before.
