    Areas to Strengthen

Early days and early impressions of the new additions and old guard, but what areas do people think we need to strengthen for a successful promotion campaign this season?

It's difficult to say really as we have players in every position so signing new ones will just bloat the squad. In an ideal world, we'd have a better option in both wing back positions. Perhaps a dominant CB, a battling midfielder and a poacher up front.

    Ain't gonna happen though.

Well pretty soon we go Halifax (A), Yeovil (A), Stockport, Bromley, Grimsby (A) and the next 6 after that are just as stiff...this will be the stress test for all areas of our team

Was going to wait til 10 games to give my opinion but seeing as you’ve started a fred. For me it’s more about finding the right formation to get the best out what we have rather than needing to bring anyone in. However, I’ve been bleating on about it for weeks but still adamant we could do with a ball winner in that midfield 3. Neither Cal or Ruben are at their best in midfield, JOB is a useful squad member and we haven’t seen what Vincent can do yet but Ed Francis… not a fan. At the moment, for me, he should be back up to Palmer.

Ha! I was thinking this afternoon that the atmosphere felt a bit flat. Say what you like about Hardy, but he knew how to get the Lane pumping.
