Was surprised to see he retired at 31 because as a 11/12 year old at the time everyone seemed ancient. With Woody being 36 and the guy who scored for Chelsea yesterday (DeSilva?) almost 37 there's no doubt that in order to keep competing today's players look after themselves much better.
My all time favourite player as a youngster.
Had the opportunity to meet him in Rotherham, from memory it was around 2013.
Fantastic character and down to earth.
Read one of his books a while ago and in it RUFC got a. mention.

Did he ever play against the Millers?
The Millers have only ever played Spurs once, at White Hart Lane on 5th February 1972. Greaves would have been playing for West Ham at the time. The Millers lost 2-0.
