    RIP Jimmy.

Was surprised to see he retired at 31 because as a 11/12 year old at the time everyone seemed ancient. With Woody being 36 and the guy who scored for Chelsea yesterday (DeSilva?) almost 37 there's no doubt that in order to keep competing today's players look after themselves much better.

My all time favourite player as a youngster.
Had the opportunity to meet him in Rotherham, from memory it was around 2013.
Fantastic character and down to earth.
Read one of his books a while ago and in it RUFC got a. mention.

    R. I. P. JIMMY GREAVES.
    Thanks for the memories.

I guess not knowing where 6 years of your life went might qualify as 'a bit'

The Millers have only ever played Spurs once, at White Hart Lane on 5th February 1972. Greaves would have been playing for West Ham at the time. The Millers lost 2-0.

    Spurs side that day-

    Pat Jennings
    Ray Evans
    Phil Beal
    Mike England
    Steve Perryman
    Ralph Coates
    Jimmy Neighbour
    Martin Peters
    Martin Chivers
    Alan Gilzean

We never played a league/cup game against Chelsea, Spurs, West Ham or Barnet during his tenure at those clubs so the answer is probably no unless it was in a friendly or exhibition game. Also, I don't think we've ever played against A.C. Milan
