    Another legend passes

RIP Jimmy, another great, the likes of which are unlikely to pass our way again.

Very sad - Saint & Greavsie show was brilliant and Jimmy was a world class striker.

    RIP

I first saw him at Elland Road in '64 jus t after promotion to Div1. United had started the season brilliantly but I remember thinking Greaves would be a major threat. Mid-week game, fabulous atmosphere but Greavsie had a stinker and United won 3-1. He was one hell of a player though and a great character. R.I.P.

Never saw him play, but went to "an evening with Jimmy greaves" at Cromer pier, he was a superb, witty story teller, his guest was Ron "chopper" Harris, seen many clips of his goals and he was indeed a legend.
