    O/T RIP Jimmy Greaves

Should have posted this on Sunday but was caught up in the Derby and the early kick off time.A true English great and one of their best ever forwards.Although i knew of him i cannie say i can ever remember watching him play but i do remember his brilliant show on TV with Ian St John called Saint and Greavsie.
He was forever slagging off Scottish goalkeepers which even to me was normally very funny but there is footage out there of him humbly acknowledging the magnificent display of Hamish McAlpine at Old Trafford and they also did an interview together after the game instigated by St John.
RIP Jimmy brilliant both on and off the field,FACT.

    Found it.

Agree GB. I used to love watching Saint and Greavsie. Both legends of the game. I also remember him slagging off Scottish goalkeepers and the Hamish interview. RIP Jimmy.

I’ve got the saint and greavsie itv World Cup 86 theme tune on my iPod, always brings back great memories of watching them as a kid. Also stumbled on a copy of his autobiography in jumble sale when I was kid, and it left a lasting impression. If I could find it i’d Read it again. Two legends.
