    Livermore

Yes we all know we need a striker and we have needed one since Gayle left - that's obvious to the blind which happens to be our Board.

For me though a crucial failing once again is Livermore. His tackling, passing and trekking back are shocking! These stats were shown on a recent poll. Accurate in my mind as always said the midfield is crucial to everything! Livermore was s hite in the second half of our promotion campaign. Think if we would have kept Okay and Diange?

Do you think Jake Livermore should be dropped from the team?

Why can supporters always spot the issues?

A bit surprised we haven’t seen Molumby yet - surely the obvious replacement for Livermore ..... unless Val plans to play Snodgrass there ...

I sometimes think that coaches put too much faith in stats.
The players wear monitors in training which give data on overall fitness etc. Whilst distance run, time taken, heartbeat rate and recovery times can be useful, they give no indication about how a player is contributing to build up speed, passing effectiveness and so on.

Whereas when you watch the game with the naked eye it's blindingly obvious sometimes which players are performing and which aren't.

I think he’s a shocking player but every manager we’ve had seems to play him 🤷*♂️

Anyone who thinks Jake Livermore's stats are poor, and I acknowledge they should be better, would be best advised to steer well clear of Darnell Furlong's stats. They are shocking.

Livermore huffs and puffs but there is little end product. He doesn't score or create chances. I do believe he is trying hard so won't fault him for effort but we need some quality! Surely Molumby is worth a chance although I haven't seen him play so he could be useless!!

Good post! Austin and HRK put in the effort too but we need quality. To compare Livermore to Gallagher or Okay is like comparing a clapped out Skoda to a Porsche!

Another problem with Livermore in my opinion is that he always seems likely to get a red card; maybe it’s that he’s slowing up and too many tackles are late. Again, can’t fault the bloke for effort but I fear his best days are behind him.

I can’t understand why we didn’t pay the 5m for Yokuslu! Absolutely perfect for us..

We did not pay the transfer fee because with fee and premiership wages it was way to much for us. Just look at Derby and Reading for prove of overspending in the last couple of seasons.
