And before he arrived we developed/found Alioski, Dallas, Cooper, Ayling, Taylor, Byram, Clarke, and others, all of who made major contributions to our days in the Championship and/or our promotion to the PL (some continue to do so), without a DoF and his associated hangers-on.

Really not interested in what anyone else's opinion is of him. We managed to get promoted to the Premier League without going bust. So got nothing to be disgruntled about...in my books that is!

Most disappointing item so far is that we've been boring to watch. The losing is hard but watching dull, methodical and slow football is really a challenge. You expect it from a Big Sam or a Southgate coached team but from MB it's really tough.

The eventual outcome seems that we'll lose KP, Raph, Meslier and our coach at seasons end and we'll end up in relegation battles in the long term. Really a bitter pill to swallow when things looked so good last year. Especially when the U-23's are so good and hungry and would probably really have a go at it if given the chance.

Orta arrived on 4th June 2017 approximately [at 08.00am] with basically nothing cemented in place to work on.Soon got in Dani Salas as his scout followed by various tight budget-allowances technical backroom staff.
Today he now has in place newly created roles of prominent respected scouting Heads of recruitment globally with Craig Dean appointed Head of Emerging Talent & Andrew Taylor Head of Loan players just been recently appointed.
So yes - time is now being managed well in my opinion today under Orta's strategic implemented developments since 2017/18 season.

Developed, nurtured, who whatever.Taylor,Byram,Clarke got hooked from York college football development system I recall as I worked at the college, others came from other clubs development systems.

Always easy to be critical in hindsight but seriously give Orta a break & to describe Bielsa as a 'side-kick' is a tad over the top with respect in my opinion.
Anyway lunch over & I'm off to be developed in 'silver service etiquette'.

Taylor was simply marvellous - he jumped ship as soon as he could.

The pre Radz years I remember largely for getting some decent players in post GFH but with no real strategy so we had good players in some parts of the pitch but who were not suited to play together. It was a real collection of different styles - at least now there seems to be a clear set of instructions as to the qualities the players we scout must have.

Yeah, seems like we’re playing to a pre Bielsa standard.

Agree - 'clear set of instructions' for players we scout.

Raphinha’s agent Deco has reeled out the line for sure - not really sure how the hell we managed to get him from Rennes unless Rad had some kind of agreement not to stand in the players way if certain 'profile clubs' came in for him.
Interestingly situation at Rennes now as right-winger Jérémy Doku,19, from Belgium is now wanted by many clubs but it'll require £15 million in January.
The other winger sold by Rennes Ismaila Sarr prior to Raph was sold to Watford for £30 million is decent to.

In 2019–20 season, Rennes finished third in Ligue 1 and qualified for 2020–21 UEFA Champions League for the first time in their history & won the French Cup beating PSG which is incredible from a club running from a 30,000 stadia albeit from a loyal fan base nowhere as big as Lille & Nantes close by rivals.

Appear to produce very talented youngsters at Rennes who keep being sold as new ones come in.
Dan James I suppose had the PL experience some might say to cover if/when Raph is sold on for silly money. If he goes just hope it's to a club based outside UK and not PL.

What by putting in more effort as in his own words Spains 2nd division for players. Come on Totty they have no interest in bringing in quality players at a cost rather experiment with lower-division players hoping to come good for profit.
On the other hand, I don't trust him with experienced players as it has been proven by the ones he bought in with the money received from promotion.

Monies tight to buy elusive quality players Oz as you know or should know & not sure all quality players available would fit our system alongside the 'family club ethos' Rad's requires from such talented players.

Oh,plus the other issues in requiring quality players aka the account balance sheet.

Last one published needs attention still in case you forget.

In it Leeds posted an overall loss of £62 million during the campaign, with total administration costs for the club running to a huge £108 million.

The wage bill was £78 million, while they handed out £20 million in promotion bonuses.

Turnover at Elland Road did leap to £54 million, from £48 million the year prior. This was projected to hit £56 million before the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Elsewhere, the accounts confirmed the £23 million investment from 49ers Enterprises, which is the investment arm of the San Francisco 49ers.

Leeds also took out £43 million in loan funding after the end of the accounting period.

Also of note was their increased commercial revenue, which was boosted by £15 million of merchandise sales.

There was also a rebate of £7 million paid out to broadcasters.

So not sure we're going to sign Harry Kane in Jan just yet - steady as we go mate policy wise l thinks.
