Excellent. Having supported this event in posts I was gutted not to be able to attend. Glad it worked out well. Good to have positive stuff!

If they swap home end I'll never be back.

So I hope it comes off.

But you went back after we left our traditional home end (TCK).....gotta happen for the sake of everyone's sanity......and there's a wee chink (is that allowed) of light that this is a possibility in the future.

Always stood in the Derry toward the TCK end or in the Provy, very rarely in the TCK end.

I take it you want to bring our support together?

If no fine, if yes....what's the solution?....answer can't include giving up the Derry.

Shankly, Derry and other end of the main stand would transform the atmosphere from utter ****e to at least on a par with every other provincial club almost overnight.

I sit mainly in the Cox now, as I think you do, and come on, be honest, the atmosphere is dire.......it's very noticeable when we are in the shankly how much moaning is drowned out with encouragement.

Its almost a zero cost solution to better results, atmosphere, crowd participation....and dare I suggest a wee boost to the crowd.

Dabs seem to have a very fluent segregation arrangement, occupying anything from 2 to 4 stands at any given time.

    Meanwhile.....over at Dens.🙄

I'm sure you'll agree that the move to the fictitious 'new stadium' will never happen in any of our lifetimes, probably never was going to happen, so let's get that option off the table.

The problem isn't The Coxy which is identical to The Shankly making The Shankly anything but the solution. The 'problem' is the location of The Derry seats and covered area being far too close to The Shankly; add to that the solid barrier now erected between it and The Shankly and it makes moving the home end to The Shankly, in an attempt to bring the support together, pretty pointless. We all know we want to enter the ground up the old (proper Derry) steps and not from the Shankly end steps so it makes sense to move the location of The Derry.

There's only one proper solution and that's to demolish The Derry and move the location of the fans seated there closer to both the pitch and The Coxy. That stand should contain the dressing rooms and the Main Stand could be improved to bring seating as far forward toward the pitch as possible (assuming it can't be demolished) and to include decent lounges and offices.

We all know that's never going to happen though so we have no choice but to we stick where we are in my opinion. Any move within the existing structure will improve nothing.

This isn't an episode of your home made perfect.....😁.....if it was that would be a solution that I cud go with but it ain't practical......try again working on my budget of zero.

I like a punt I'd bet meh last quid on the atmosphere improving greatly by moving ends

I don't think the Derry is separated from the Cox.... just slightly screened.....I wuda planted bamboo and hogweed...seems to be plenty behind the Derry.

I don't believe you think moving ends would improve nothing (not perfect, see opening line) but definitely improve things. You are just being a tad cantankerous 🙂.....anyway moving the Derry.....Whaur wud we hide the hoses.!!!

Cantankerous? Me? Never. But I like my seat in Coxy and the parking options and escape times after the match are 100% better than they would be from Shankly. Suits me better and don't care about anyone else (mumble, grumble).

The hoses will have perished away to nothing by the time anything worthwhile happens to Dens.

The tck end has never ever been the traditional home end , I’ve been going to dens since 1960 and at that time we went in any end usually we wanted swapping ends at half time , then after segregation soon after that rangers game where stein was sent off and the bottles went flying , Dundee took the provie only taking the tck end while the provie was under construction, only time that changed was the league cup final when the dabs got the provie
