I said in the OP that it was all smoke and mirrors BT, papering over the cracks, keeping the Party faithful happy. Of course Boris and his chums haven't got a fecking clue what they're doing about anything, we both know that, I'm just pointing out why he keeps winning elections, that's all, it seems a constant source of bafflement to his opponents, but it's a simple formula.
I am relying on Dorcas to talk us through this comic ruckus by Plautus! Boris is of course as venal as they come as Lefties point out ad nauseam but they also (with a few notable exceptions) spend so much time calling the rest of us stupid racist bigots and wondering why we won’t vote for them.
You have the media witch hunt nailed in a single sentence Mr Outwood. Either the "lefties" denounce "stupid racist bigots" or they are all anti-Semitic. Which is it my mate?
Attachment 20057
I quoted previously from Le Maistre that every nation gets the Government it deserves. The electorate in the UK is more interested in the time of the omnibus edition of Eastenders than issues the country faces, unless it directly affects them, like the current problems - no fuel at garages, empty shelves and so on.
England also suffers at least two other problems: everyone wants everything at the lowest possible price or better still free; and the electorate now believes that the Government should have an answer for everything. The latter thinking is encouraged by politicians and the media for their own ends.
History has shown that the more Government interferes in matters that it cannot, in reality, control (the economy being the prime example) the worse it gets.
The NHS is a classic example of a disaster zone. Qualified individuals within the NHS consistently say that the solution to many of the problems is to let the people with the real knowledge run it - not politicians and civil servants, as well as reams of overpaid Managers who may be MBA’s but know the square root of f*#k all about the medical world. The answer from Government is simply to throw money at it.
Sorry, the last bit of my rant - the definition of lunacy is to keep doing the same thing and expecting a different result.
If one looks at the actions of Government in the UK, it is so often noted that something needs an overhaul. After the inevitable, expensive Quango review, the recommendations are ignored and they carry on as before - except, again, more money is thrown at doing exactly the same and expecting a different result.
The good news is that BloeJo certainly acts like he is short of a few marbles at times.
But the question for the public BT, is not 'Boris or not Boris', it's 'Boris or the Labour Party/Starmer/Rayner', and you only have to check out Rayner's foam-flecked rant against Tories to realise, besides being a lovable old rogue, that Boris is very lucky to have the opponents he does. Crack a few jokes, pat a few babies on the head and the next election is in the bag, he can't lose against this lot.
"The electorate in the UK is more interested in the time of the omnibus edition of Eastenders than issues the country faces, unless it directly affects them, like the current problems - no fuel at garages, empty shelves and so on".
You know my missus then Swissclaret?
