    O/T Newcastle United Takeover

Imminent apparently and could be completed by the end of this week.
All the issues concerning illegal streaming of Premier League matches have been resolved by a big compensation payment apparently.
The only potential obstacle now is the moral one of whether the Saudis should be allowed to own the club.
Hmm, money or morals? You decide which way the Premier League will go 😉

A deal back on the table after Saudi Arabia agreed, to lift its 4 year ban on beIN sports to
allow the premier league, to be broadcast legally in the middle eastern country once again.
The Saudi investment fund consortium, set to buy Newcastle United, with its wealth
eclipsing that of Manchester City & Paris Saint-Germain combined.
So major investment in Newcastle United on the horizon.

We have already Prince Abdullah Bin Mosa'sd Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud installed has owner of
    Sheffield United.
Then the Abu Dhabi group owning Manchester City.

    Finance in football -

Manchester City raised a $650m loan in July 2021, underwritten by Barclays, HSBC, & KKR Capital.

Barcelona raised a 525m euros loan in June 2021, underwritten by Goldman Sachs.

I give one. I find it bizarre that a regime that basically kills people who criticise it are deemed to be fit and proper people as long as they pay some money in respect of illegal streaming. That's the problem the world over. Ip rights over human rights
