Not sure on global stats on folks average daily-viewing hours of TV/screens for entertainment but lifestyles maybe have effects on hours spent in front of telly.

In percentage terms, the amount of time 18-34-year-olds as a whole spent watching traditional TV (live and time-shifted) in 2020 dropped by 23.4% from the previous year and continues years of viewing declines in that age group.

To give some context to the extent to which digital has supplanted traditional TV for youth latest reports indicate that 18-34-year-olds spent about 2.5x times as much time using apps and the web on smartphones alone than watching traditional TV.

Age,warmer weather, lifestyle of French Environment & outdoor pursuits certainly make my average hours watching TV programmes down to about 2.5 hours per day nowadays.

Saying that I've a collection of DVDs to get through bought from the local Charities huge warehouse that sells everything imaginable cheaply.
