Exactly. He's not even been deemed worthy of a place on the bench for most of the season

He's been injured and playing catch up with his fitness, which as we saw with Lewis Knight last season, isn't that easy to do when we don't play any reserve games. Francis has shown potential but doesn't look ready yet imo, he does some great things then follows it up with missing a 10 yard pass or being caught in possession.

Palmer has also been very very good and played every minute so far this season so the rest of the midfielders are basically competing for one spot, alongside him.
