Yes true, but there is a book value which they will negotiate on. lets face it what are the owners going to do with a football ground? Sell it to forest?

Mel's hands are tied at the moment, he can't make payments to any creditors, no matter how deserving, thats up to the administrators who have to do it according to process defined by the law.

Of course he could ahve settled their debt prior to entering administration

Today’s DT seems to be suggesting we may owe Mel Morris £124m on top of everything else.
Every time something good happens - performance against Fulham - the DT puts a damper on it. Can someone please explain this new alleged debt?

its almost certainly a result of them not understanding the administrators statement of affairs which includes a large figure in that range as the share premium (ie equity) that MM has put into DCFC as capital? I genuinely wouldnt believe a word that rag says, especially hen it comes to numbers

rA look at where this comes from, self styled "Football finance expert" Kevin Maguire! A guy self promoting his own podcast which he does with a comedian, Maguire is comedy gold anyway.

The Administrators have published the liabilities, easy to to identify.

I suppose the DET has pages to fill, but really? So much ill informed pap most of the time.

I’ll take your and GP’s words for it. Totally agree with both of you about the current state of the DT.

I'll add my semi-expert view, the reports are pretty sensationalist and factually inaccurate regarding the admin process, trust the administrators rather than a blowhard like Maguire
