Basically there isn't a football person in position yet to make that decision.

That is the professional way to do things,you can't just let the fans or media push the club into major decisions.

Much as his record means he'll be off imminently, it's clearly not as simple as 'off you go' given that his coaches would inevitably go with him and we've got a game coming up.

I think you're right there, I heard somewhere that Jones had been offered the caretaker role but turned it down, don't know why he would do that though it certainly wouldn't hurt his CV.

Well, a lot of people have been assuming that Jones would take over from Bruce but not all No.2's are comfortable in the spotlight and/or want the extra responsibility that comes with it. Could be this...who knows?
