You have answered the question and issue then Jonny! Decent free flowing football requires the dollar! How much have we spent?
You can’t expect to play free flowing football with the likes of Livermore, Phillips, Diangana and Robinson who may or may not turn up!!! Is this Val’s fault? Is it Val’s fault that 16 million for Diangana was a waste of money? Who is our best player? I will answer that - Mowatt!!!!
Why is Mowatt at West Brom! Easy one!
You can only play free flowing football if you have quality and sadly we don’t!! Blame the owner!! I forgot - West Brom fans blame the manager whilst the W anker who is raping the club is laughing is bollox off!!!
Since Gayle left - which player is the same quality in terms of finishing! Nobody and again another answer!!
To be honest with the average players Val has for me he’s doing a great job!! Whoever recruited Zohore needs to book into a mental institute!!
Today I have seen Watford v Liverpool and am watching Brentford v Chelsea.
What is absolutely clear to me is none of these sides, and I include Liverpool, could play great football at the speed our lot are expected to do. The ‘passes’ from the back and midfield up to the front 3 are at best ‘kick and rush’. We seem unable to take a second and look for a player in space to pass to. I lost count of the number of times I could see forward passes to a team mate in space but instead we just chip it over the defenders in the hope we can press them into a mistake and give us a chance.
We don’t seem to very often look to create a chance. When we did last night we scored. Most of the time it is pass forward anywhere and let’s hope that something works out.
Yes buying better players helps but I am convinced most of the time the teams in the PL would struggle playing at the pace we are expected to do. Salah would never be given a pass to his feet for him to create a magical goal like he did today, and we wouldn’t have had anyone looking up to see Firmino at the back post for an easy tap in.
