I am a person who believes that this message board should be dedicated to football and CUFC, jokes and bewers, leaving politics and religion to be discussed elsewhere. However, I think that all fair minded people will mourn the murder of Sir David Amess who from all accounts was a fair and decent man. RIP.

Very surprised that an MP of his standing didn't have better close protection but a lot of them are so naive to think that everybody loves them.

I had a long e.mail exchange with the young bint whos currently masquerading as the MP for Hyndburn to the point where i decided to put my point to her in person at her next surgery luckily i had a quote in an e.mail from early in the exchange before it got nasty inviting me to come along and on the basis of that i was allowed in.

No security whatsoever present but the office is right next door to what now masquerades as Accrington Police Station anyway to cut a long story short we had a very heated discussion in which she gave as good as she got but one of her female aides was ranting about ringing the police [ which i was quite happy about as the resulting publicity would have done my cause no end of good ] but SB kept telling her it wouldn't be necessary and not to but she went ahead and rang first she couldn't get thru then when she did the control room asked her to put me on the line what a joke, then she rang 999 and got frustrated at all the information they wanted and put the phone down on them By now it was starting to resemble a scene from Fred Canos.

Then what can only be described as someone in a uniform who looked about 12 arrived from next door who didn't even know the woman was the MP and all was beginning to calm down when the rapid response mob came thru the door quickly followed by a firearms team to find us all sat round the table having a cup of tea at which point SB was brilliant she told them i wasn't a threat and the woman who'd made the calls came nearer to getting arrested than i did.

But my point is i could have been a raving nutter with a machete and she would have been toast.

A couple of weeks later SB rang me having done a bit of investigating the matter and agreed that i was correct in some assumptions that i.d made and i know that she sent out a few letters telling certain people that and i now have a better relationship with her than i did at the end with her Labour predessessor.
